For Cleaning Foam Coated Blockout Curtains 

1. Take them off and give them a good shake to remove excess dust. 
2. If you cannot use water, vacuum clean them, do a spot removal treatment and dry clean them. 
3. If you can use water, pour in cold water and a few drops of a mild liquid detergent (not a fabric softener) in a tub. Dip the curtains for a while.
4. Use your hands to squish and squeeze the curtains gently. Do not be too harsh, there is a reason why we don't use washing machines for the same.
5. When done, do not let them sit, hang each piece away from each other and allow it to dry.  

For Cleaning Woven Triple Weave Blockout Curtains

1. Take them off and give them a good shake so that excess dust falls out.
2. Wash them in a front load machine only because the rotator in the top load machine can harm it. 
3. Make sure to set your machine in a gentle wash mode. Use water of room temperature. 
4. When done, do not let the curtains sit in your machine. Take them out immediately.

For Cleaning Rubber Backing Blockout Curtains

1. Take them out, give them a good shake. Check the label. 
2. If it says dry clean only then use your vacuum cleaner or at the most, use your hands to wash them gently. 
3. If it allows water to be used in cleaning, wash your curtains in a front load machine on gentle mode and room temperature water. 
4. Remove them immediately and do not let them sit.
5. Hang them to dry in such a way that pieces of curtains do not touch each other.
